We love our pilots! To celebrate all the hours and hard work they put in to both our medical and charter flights, we’re sitting them down for a question-and-answer session. For this Pilot Q&A, meet Eric Ripley!
CSI Aviation: Why did you choose to fly for CSI, and how long have you been with us?
Eric Ripley: I’ve been with CSI for two-and-a-half years. I chose to fly for CSI because the medevac flying seemed exciting and I’ve always wanted to fly King Airs.
CSI: What is your favorite story to tell about your flying experience?
ER: My favorite stories probably aren’t appropriate to share here, ha-ha! Honestly, I just love any time I get to fly. If the flight goes well and there are no major problems, I have fun.
CSI: What do you wish people knew about your job?
ER: I wish people knew not all pilots are airline pilots. Second, I wish people knew that airplanes do medevac, not just helicopters. Lastly, I wish they knew medevac pilots are cooler than any other type of pilot out there.
CSI: What’s your favorite type of aircraft?
ER: My favorite type of aircraft all time? That’s the P-51 Mustang. [Click here to read more.] It’s the sexiest airplane ever built and the epitome of an airplane.
CSI: Out of all of CSI’s airplanes, which is your favorite to fly?
ER: My favorite plane to fly at CSI; probably the 350. Who doesn’t like speed?
CSI: Any fun facts about yourself you want to share?
ER: Fun facts? My dog’s name is Boeing. He’s my best friend. I’m addicted to Dr Pepper.
