Job Summary
Responsible for safe, professional and precise execution of duties as “Pilot In Command” or “Second In Command” of aircraft conducting commercial passenger, cargo and air ambulance flights. Conforms and complies with organizational (air carrier), FAA and international flight procedures and regulations, ensuring aircraft is airworthy and in compliance with safety management and other organizational policies. Coordinates with air carrier dispatch and maintenance departments to ensure all organizational requirements are satisfied. Completes initial and periodic training required to maintain compliance with organizational, FAA and international regulations. Maintains currency of flight experience in accordance with both federal and local flight regulations. Responsible for passenger safety and comfort, including the cultivation of customer satisfaction and perception of professionalism and safety, talking with passengers.
Essential Tasks/Functions:
- Start engines, operate controls, and pilot airplanes to transport passengers and/or cargo according to flight plans, regulations, and procedures
- Monitor engine operation, fuel consumption, and functioning of aircraft systems during flights
- Check aircraft prior to flights to ensure that the engines, controls, instruments, and other systems are functioning properly
- Consider airport altitudes, outside temperatures, plane weights, and wind speeds and directions to calculate the speed needed to become airborne
- Contact control towers for takeoff clearances, arrival instructions, and other information, using radio equipment
- Obtain and review data such as load weights, fuel supplies, weather conditions, and flight schedules to determine flight plans and identify needed changes
- File instrument flight plans with air traffic control so that flights can be coordinated with other air traffic
- Check baggage or cargo to ensure that it has been loaded correctly
- Order changes in fuel supplies, loads, routes, or schedules to ensure safety of flights
- Plan flights according to government and company regulations, using aeronautical charts and navigation instruments
- Choose routes, altitudes, and speeds that will provide the fastest, safest, and smoothest flights
- Co-pilot aircraft or perform captain’s duties as required
- Coordinate flight activities with ground crews and air traffic control, and inform crew members of flight and test procedures
- Request changes in altitudes or routes as circumstances dictate
- Write specified information in flight records, such as flight times, altitudes flown, and fuel consumption
- Supervises other crew members, as required
- Perform minor aircraft maintenance and repair work, or arranges for maintenance with Maintenance Department
- Conduct in-flight tests and evaluations at specified altitudes and in all types of weather to determine the receptivity and other characteristics of equipment and systems.
- Plan and formulate flight activities and test schedules and prepare flight evaluation reports.
- Check the flight performance of new planes. Become qualified in additional series of aircraft.
- Serve as a demonstration pilot when needed.
- Comply with requirements in General Operating Manual, Training Manual and other organizational policies.
- Comply with HAZMAT, Air Ambulance and other regulatory requirements.
- Participate in Drug, hazard reporting and safety programs as required, including random testing.
- Inform crew, passengers, maintenance department, and other pertinent personnel of all changes to itineraries prior to, or during the course of flight.
- Provides excellent customer service with external customers and meticulous attention to detail and punctuality
- Comply with internal policies and requirements to ensure standardization and conformity of actions and files

Minimum Requirements:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Professional Licensure: Commercial Instrument Pilot License
Background: Must pass a background investigation
Experience: Prior Commercial Pilot Experience. PIC: 1500 Hours Total Time, 800 Hours Multi-engine Time. SIC: 500 Hours Total Time, 250 Hours Multi-engine Time. Customer Service experience working with external customers.
Computer Skills: Aviation Digital Data Service, Jeppesen Direct, Garmin Pilot, ForeFlight
Preferred Qualifications:
Education: BS/BA
Professional Licensure/Certifications: Airline Transport Pilot, Certified Flight Instructor, Tail Wheel Endorsement
Background: Current Federal Security Clearance
Training: BE-1900 and Beech King Air experience with preference given to BE-1900 and/or BE-300 type rating
Experience: Military, Aviation Industry, Air Ambulance Transportation (including MEDEVAC/CASEVAC)
Job Summary
Provides high quality nursing care for patients across the life-span in assigned clinical area, to include assessment, triage, and treatment utilizing standards and guidelines established by CSI within scope of practice. Assesses the nature and extent of illness and injury to establish and prioritize care needed for safe transport of the critical patient to the appropriate facility working in collaboration with flight paramedic partner; is qualified to provide care responsible for carrying out the mission and goals of CSI assuring that safety remains the highest priority throughout the transport continuum.

- Maintains competency in knowledge and psychomotor skills by participating in ongoing laboratory and clinical experiences
- Maintains currency of required licensure, certifications, and continuing education

- Knowledgeable in use and routine maintenance of all medical equipment
- Responsible for reporting medical equipment failures
- Maintains positive interpersonal relationships with colleagues, EMS representatives, hospitals and the public
- Participates in departmental quality improvement, SMS, and utilization management activities as assigned
- Attends and participates in meetings according to established departmental guidelines

Minimum Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- 3 years of experience in critical care/emergency nursing experience
- Licenses & Certifications:
- Current RN License(s) for states of practice or compact privileges
- Current certification in BLS; ACLS: PALS or equivalent (AHA course required)
- Current NRP Certification
- Compact License Required
- Required after hire to remain employed with CSI
- Advanced Trauma course within 6 months of hire (ATLS; ATCN; CATN; TPATC)
- NIMS Training is 100, 200, 700, 800 within 3 months hire
- Specialty certification: (CFRN, CCRN, CTRN or CEN) within two (2) years of hire
- EMS-RN or certification/licensure as required by state regulations

- Current certification in one of the following TNCC/ITLS/PHTLS (advanced skills lab must accompany these trauma courses)
